Carolyn Rockwood was raised in Ayrshire and studied drawing and painting in Italy and later at The Art Institute of Chicago. Carolyn now lives in Perthshire where she paints full time.
Her fascination with fabrics and materials has led to Carolyn developing a unique technique which often incorporates the use of collage to create interesting and varied surface textures and colour.
Carolyn's subjects include landscape and floral, and she finds much of her inspiration along the west coast of Scotland and the Outer Hebrides.
