Jane studied Printed Textile design at Manchester Polytechnic. Her textile background influences all elements in her painting such as flowers, colour, pattern and a decorative approach to placing objects in a flattened space. She's lived and worked in Scotland and frequently visits the Scottish islands to paint the beautiful Outer Hebridean landscape. She is particularly drawn to the special quality of light and vast white beaches found on the island of Harris.
